Outdoor Garden Patio

We worked on this jewel-box garden room for Johnny Steele Design. It is always a pleasure to work in a collaboration with the best creative team, and this one couldn’t have been better. The customer also had a very creative eye. She had a vision of a crisp space that appeared to have evolved naturally, and gave off a relaxed but sophisticated vibe. Some of our very best projects seem to come with the directive: “David, we want it to appear natural, but exactly right in every detail.” Here, it was 7 steps on each surface. Grinding to expose aggregate, then a warm gray acid-stain, then burning off most of the stain. We followed the same steps on the poured-in-place concrete seating, for an ensemble effect.
